Jatoba (
Hymenaea courbaril )
Largely used in Brazil for flooring purposes,
Jatoba is rapidly getting the acceptance of markets like
Spain, Portugal, The Caribbean and U.S.A. It is a very
heavy wood but with nice contrasting colors and considered
very durable for outdoor applications as well as for flooring
at high density traffic areas.

Ipe (
Tabebuia serratifolia )
Accepted in Brazil as the most durable wood
for flooring, truckbed flooring, doors, windows, fencing
and colonial furniture. Ipe is gradually stepping into the selected market
for Greenheart from Guyana.
Ipe is abundantly available and can be supplied in rough Sawn Lumber as
well as in squares and
dimension sizes surfaced 2 or 4 sides.

Purpleheart (
Peltogyne spp. )
Excellent for outdoor furniture, its durability
is recognized worldwide. Purpleheart can be supplied either
in
Rough Sawn or Surfaced Lumber.

Tatajuba (
Bagassa guianensis )
Freshly sawn its color is yellow but gradually,
as exposed to the weather, turns into a uniform
golden Mahogany-like color. Tatajuba is successfully used for ceiling applications
and for windows and doors.

Massaranduba (
Manilkara bidentata )
A very dense durable hardwood used for under-water
construction and house framing or beans.
More recently it has been introduced for flooring applications.

Cambara (
Erisma uncinatum )
Moderately heavy and hard. It is considered
a durable species and has an uniform pinkish to reddish
color,
after being airdried or kilndried. It is used for window frames, mouldings
and decking.

Cerejeira (
Amburana cearensis )
Its yellow beige color is pleasant to the
eyes. Cerejeira is widely used in Brazil for furniture,
ceiling and wall panels. It is easy to machine and finishes very nicely.
Cerejeira is popular as sliced veneer
for fancy plywood panels.
